Growing your portfolio by having your friends and family model for you is great, but photographing real models, with every single tiny detail thought out and perfected, can take your portfolio to the next level.

- PRACTICE: This is your chance to get creative. There is no pressure to create anything for anyone but YOURSELF. This is about those new settings you have been wanting to try or new ways of posing you have wanted to try!

When I (Allie) shot my first Styled Shoot, I had never really posed a couple with wedding attire, barely knew how to shoot in direct sunlight and had no idea what a flatlay was. Hey - no shame. We all have to start somewhere! The styled shoot I attended allowed me to observe other photographers, learn how they posed the couple and what settings I should use to shoot!
